«Location of the monument: The grave is located in the old section of the city cemetery, on a high knoll to the right of the entrance to A.G. Muravyova’s crypt. It has no enclosure and remains intact, holding the remains of Alexander Semyonovich Pestov. The tombstone is a brick sarcophagus rendered with cement and whitewashed with lime. Two cast-iron memorial plaques with inscriptions are affixed to the top:
1) Member of the “United Slavs” society, sentenced to 20 years;
2) Decembrist Alexander Semyonovich Pestov, born 1802, died 25 December, 1833».
